SCM Supersonics played host to Specsaver Tigers at Norton Comp school. With the Tigers missing two main players (Rob Harland and Lee Woolams) SCM started brightly going into a 15 - 6 lead with M.Finmore doing most of the scoring assisted by L.Mclaughlin. J.Baker ended the first quarter with 7 points of his own. End of quarter 29 - 16. R.Brown for the Tigers was scoring well with back up from O.King. In the last three minutes Tigers outscored the SCM Supersonics 9 - 2 pulling back the SCM lead. At Haf time the SCM Supersonics led 50 - 34. A half time talk by Coach Steve Butler did the trick as SCM Supersonics went on a scoring spree added 37 points in the third quarter alone. Mark Finmore, Michael Thompson all scoring at will. End of the 3rd quarter SCM Supersonics had control of the game 87 - 51. Lee Mclaughlin led the 4th quarter by scoring SCMs only baskets in the first 5 minutes added 19 points including 5 three pointers. R.Brown kept going adding to his total and finishing with an impressive 24 pts for the evening. Final score SCM Supersonics 116 Specsavers Tigers 69.
